As a fashion house dealing specifically with muslimah fashion, Turkuaz constantly receive requests for wardrobe sponsorships for local tv drama series or movies especially when the script require the female artist to wear tudung.
In these cases we normally deal with the wardrobe artists and not the artists themselves save for a few artists who prefers to be more hands on. These artists will actually study the script to calculate the number of scenes and the character hence the type of fashion and colour schemes these character will wear.
By far the best artist that we have dealed with is Vanida Imran. Nadia Kesuma is very hands on too. The latest to come to Turkuaz personally is Julia Ziegler for her soon to be aired tv series "Tudung Express".
Otherwise, we'll just deal with the wardrobe artist who in malaysia will most of the time be handling the makeup too. Smaller budget means many of the production crew will have to multi-task.
Also since the wardrobe artists do make-up as well most of them are like the "mak andam" but they are very responsible and as long as the clothes are returned on time, we are very happy to work with them.
To encourage the movie making industry Turkuaz adopts a very open policy with wardrobe artists, so long as they are from reputable production house and are willing to give us credit mention then we have no qualms of loaning the clothes but like all new relationship our loan period and quantity may differ. Once the production house have a proven track record, we are more comfortable working with them.
