Traditional remedy for heatiness

As we are living in tropical Malaysia, the weather can sometimes be too hot for our body.. coupled with lack of rest, stress and poor diet which can lead to "heatiness" in our body.

A tell-tale sign of heatiness - bad breath or heaty breath and possible body rashes or pimples.

To combat it, try boiling some chinese herbs such as barley, crysehthemum (or kekwa in malay).

Alternatively for extreme heatiness especially in cases of CHICKEN POX, I boil a pack of concoctions purchase from chinese drug store.

You can drink 100 Plus, Pocari Sweat, Livita or even coconut but these herbs worked for me besides I find coconut gives my stomach wind.

The key ingredient in those packs are the shavings of animal horns.. Any animal horns will do but of course horns from exotic animals like antelope, gazelle or water buffalo are more effective and pricier.

The ones in the picture below, even though stated as antelope, I highly suspect are just plain cow or goat horns cos the pack only cost me RM10.

So next time you feel heaty, why not give traditional remedy a try! Just buy a pack, boil it in water! Easy peasy!!

When boiling there's a slight smell.. hard to describe it. The boiled water is almost colourless and tasteless just like normal drinking water.

Between Coconut n Olive

Life is so ironic.

Seriously! Perfect example:-

My Turkish boss was planning a trip back to Turkey and a malaysian friend asked him to look for an olive oil supplement for him as the price here is higher and the brand is from Turkey.

So when he is Turkey, while he was looking for this olive oil, a turkish friend asked him to look for a coconut  oil supplement as the price there is higher.

Both these friends were adamant that the respective oil works wonder for them!

Just goes to show that human are never satisfied with what we already have. Seriously coconut is very cheap in Malaysia and we have plenty of them.. Guess the guy in Turkey will say the same about olive oil ;p

In conclusion, my boss couldn't find that particular brand of olive oil supplement in Turkey.. Not sure if he found the coconut oil in Malaysia. I think the chances of finding the same brand here are quite slim.

Package "Hamil Baru Bayar" @ D'Cost Seafood, Indonesia

Introducing cheap seafood in Indonesia. It costs Rp22,000 (approximately RM7.50) for a box of this takeaway complete with rice, 4 different types of dishes, a bottle of water and a thin slice of fruit.

Well the food is nothing to shout about.. like a normal bento set with (from left to right) stir fry vegetables, tempura squid, fish and prawns.

A check on their website reveals that these boxes are part of the delivery menu.

For dining in, they are a real seafood restaurant which serves crabs and fish dishes.

They also have a dish called NASGOR.. Simply out of curiosity, I clicked on it and found out that it's short for NASi GOReng... Haha.. Such ingenuity! Price from Rp10,000 (roughly RM3.40).

Interestingly they have this new promotion called "Promo Hamil Baru Bayar" which is a special package for those planning a wedding reception, where you pay when the bride gets pregnant! Wow!! I guess they must be really convinced that most, if not all brides get pregnant pronto =D
