Oliferin - for better skin!

If you are a follower of my blog, you might have read about me getting lots of sand flies bites (click this link sand-flies-bite-and-treatment).

When I could no longer stand the itch, I visited a doctor and whilst I was there, asked him a lot of health questions. Like why do I always come back from a walk in the park with rashes on my leg.

The doctor explained it's cos I have grass allergy. Meaning my skin gets easily inflamed and react cos it's not balance. So he recommended that I take a supplement named Oliferin as it's a powerful anti-oxident made from olives from Spain.

To visit the official website, click this link Benefits of Oliferin

Well I did not take to his advice immediately as the price is quite high for me and I was taking GNC Double Strength Fish Oil then. But I did keep the pamphlet and google on it. Finally in February 2013 I thought ok, why not give this a try.

I bought it from OUG pharmacy and it was running a promotion pack, meaning buy 2 bottle (60tab x 2) and free 1/2 bottle (30tab). So I paid RM270 for 150 tablets meaning each tablet costs RM1.80

The packing was a bit of a put off as the paper stopper on the cap was discoloured.

But do not let this stop you from trying Oliferin because after about 2 weeks of consuming 1 tabled a day, I noticed the skin on my legs were better and the pigmentation on my face lighter.

Now I am going to finish 1 bottle and my legs have improved significantly. Previously my legs were so dry that it shines and is very very tight to the point of cracking. Too bad I did not take photos of my legs before consumption. It was much much worst than the photos below.

After 3 weeks
Improvement after 3 weeks

Now it looks more like normal skin though it still shines a bit. Even the ugly veins have improved!!

After 50 days

So if you suffer from dry skin, I will definitely recommend Oliferin to you!

  4. This is the reply from Oliferin's representative:-

Good day to you and thank you for your enquiry.

The major active polyphenol in Oliferin – Hydroxytyrosol (HT), has been demonstrated in multiple clinical studies to aid in bone loss prevention.

With the high antioxidant power and potent anti-ageing properties, Oliferin helps our skin to significantly retain its moisture and prevent UV damage, not to forget Olive polyphenol is proven to be effective in the management of Joint pain and cardiovascular functions too.

As for wrinkles and lines, we are unable to provide any clinical references to this and therefore not making such claims.

However, we do have many customers ( some are post menopausal) commented that Oliferin has helped them to look younger and feeling healthier.

Selamat Hari Raya and happy holiday.

    Warm Regards,

    Melvin Chung

  5. Hi, Malvin, I'd taken blood pressure medic for 2 years and ended up with photosensitivity/allergy with hyper-pigmentation. Due to the sun damaged, my once blemish-free fair skin is now having more fines lines setting in, well, they will turn into wrinkles soon, can this sun-damaged thing be altered by Oliferin? I'm asking this Q after watching the video of your product online for a few times, but why you hv said that "we are unable to provide any clinical reference to this and therefore not making such claims". Thank you.

  6. Dear Anonymous,

Thanks for your comments. However this is Turkuaz's blog and not Oliferin.

But based on my personal experience, I know for a fact that different products works differently for different people. That is why sometimes someone may raved about a product but when you try it, it works adversely for you.

So sometimes clinical proofs can be wrong too.. For example Cetaphil is supposed to be good and mild for all skin types but it didnt work for me.

I can really empathize with your condition cos recently I had a bad bout of face allergies and nothing seems to work. Many people tell me that it's hormonal changes.

So what I have learnt from this is, whatever new face product you try, try in small quantity. Don't splat it on.

Our skin is a reflection of our internal system so while facial products can soothe your skin, make your skin comfortable, you need to take care of your body.

So supplements are a must, try to take supplements which are natural or organic. You just cannot go wrong with it.

Oil is important for females.. so must take either EPO, olive oil or fish oil.

Lastly try to pass motion as least 2 times a day. Try your best to give your body a clean bowel.

And while you are doing these, remember to pray.

I believe wrinkles induced by products/ lack of care can be reversed by products and proper care. Just be patient.

Hope these will answer your questions! =D

  8. Hi this is the answer from Oliferin:-

    "Happy New year to you!

It is absolutely fine to take Oliferin together with calcium tablets.

Hydroxytyrosol, the major active constituent in oliferin, demonstrates ability to prevent bone loss, extending the hypothesis in the prevention of osteoporosis.

Here is a good clinical reference that may be useful for your readers: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21539839

    You have a great day!"
