The Expendables

Recently watched The Expendables. Really enjoyed some of the wisecrack between the characters especially the ones involving Jet Li. Blame it on my asian genes but I am really proud of him, what he stands for and his achievements.

You can see from the poster he was the shortest among all the "kwai lo" but he made it up with his presence. I also liked the fact that he continue to wear his trademark 2 long sleeve shirts over a white tee. Hehe so conservative considering the rest were all showing off their biceps with sleeveless or short sleeves.

It was also interesting to note that some of them had made some plastic surgeons filthy rich especially Sylvester Stallone. He look so good now. Everything's firm and in place ;D

Some may say this is a guy's show but it's not too bad for gals. After this show I am thinking of watching RED. Kind of nostalgic to watch all these familiar faces on the golden screen again. At least I know I am not alone in growing old ;D

These jubah are retail at RM89.90 each and member enjoys 10% discount.

So at Turkuaz / Gulyn we do have many different range of products to cater to customers with different budget but with the common objective of modest dressing regardless of age.

But these collections (below RM100)  are too varied in designs and colours and changes too often to be sold online and thus we do not feature them on Facebook and blog. Every colour only comes in 2-4 pcs. It will be too frustrating for customers to enquire about a particular design to be told that it is out of stock at the time.

So these designs are only available for sale at our outlets and even then, the designs are different from outlet to other due to the low quantity.

Hence in our Facebook and blog we only feature our exclusive jubah which are suitable for office executives or functions as the quantity are higher and colour coded for easy identification for online sales.

We hope that customers will continue to support Turkuaz / Gulyn be in through our retail outlets as well as online!

Due to high demand, we now have in limited stock anak tudung syria bersanggul without awning (only in black colour).

This new item retails for RM35 and are available at Turkuaz Jalan TAR outlet now and other outlets starting 3rd November 2010. Member or online purchase are entitled for 10% discount.

You can see from the 2 photos below the effect of wearing your tudung with and without this anak tudung bersanggul. This is a good alternative to muslimah who have short or sparse hair.

New Gaun Design - English Cottage

English Cottage comes in 3 attractive colours and mixed of chiffon and crepon material imported from Europe. The most attractive part of this jubah gaun is the material itself. All the colours are fully lined with plain chiffon lining.

Sizes are from S - XL (code 330-1037). Price is RM329.90 but member or online purchase can enjoy special price of RM280/pc.

In total there are 97pcs (4 colours) meaning in average there are 25pcs each colour so all the colours will be available at all outlet except Plaza Angsana.

Turkuaz Fashion Spread - MIDI

4 pages Turkuaz fashion spread in MIDI 15 October 2010 @ RM4.20 each magazine.

The front cover is EZZAH AZIZ FAWZY ex-Nona host and there are lots and lots of fashion and recipe ideas inside.

Friends... for life!

Just had lunch with a long lost friend recently. She found me in Facebook and we met up after 15 to 16 years of not seeing or talking to each other. So I am really grateful that technology helped me find a piece of my history.

Being a W or X generation person, without any mobile phone, emails during our schooling days, it is inevitable that I lost contact with friends from school or college. I think children of this generation are so blessed cos they can keep in touch with friends through so many ways.

Also you can tell which generation a person is from their text messages cos I still use full sentences. I just cannot bring myself to use too-short forms... I do use the usual BTW, FYI, OIC but I have many friends who have yet to catch up with LOL and other latest acronyms out there.

Actually when this friend call me up for a 2nd lunch date, I was actually quite reluctant to go cos I have gotten too used to my schedule - in my comfort zone and was content with just communcating through facebook messages but I am glad I did as it was good to meet up with friends to talk and basically see each other face to face.

So if you are thinking of catching up with your friends by just communicating through the computer screen, just remember that no avatar nor any technology in the world (gmail yahoo facebook twitter skype blog and etc) can take the place of direct human interaction.

 

New Pantsuit Design - Nurfatihah

Nurfatihah is the latest pantsuit / jubah seluar at Turkuaz / Gulyn.

It comes in 2 different kind of fabrics and total of 2 colours each fabric. This design is fully lined with plain chiffon lining.

Sizes are from S - XXL (code 330-1041) and comes with matching pants. Price is RM419.90 but member or online purchase can enjoy special price of RM360/set with pants.

In total there are:-
18pcs for the brown small flower prints (chiffon georgette)
19pcs for the dark blue w/ pink small flower prints (chiffon georgette)
19pcs for the black and grey (polyester but with special weaving and printing technique)
20pcs for the black and brown (polyester but with special weaving and printing technique)

So this design will only be available in Jalan TAR, Alamanda outlets and online sale only.
